Unlocked Motorola Moto E

"Motorola announced its Moto E or XT1021 model in the 2nd quarter of this year. It was finally released on May 2014 catering for consumers seeking adequate phone functionality despite having a smaller budget. With a listing price of less than $150, this is an android smartphone sporting v4.4.2 KitKat operating system (upgradable to the latest version) that anyone can afford. But what about the features; is this mobile device worth every penny?

The Motorola Moto E supports 2G GSM and 3G HSDPA networks, and uses a micro-SIM. Despite its 142 g, which is not as lightweight as similar phones with comparable specifications, it has dimensions of 124.8 x 64.8 x 12.3 mm, making it fairly portable. Its 16 M colors and 4.3-inched capacitive touchscreen display makes it quite an eye-catcher. It also offers multi-touch capability and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, which is what many modern mid-range and high priced phones are equipped with.

The Motorola Moto E device supports GPRS, EDGE, WLAN (Wi-Fi hotspot and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n), as well as Bluetooth v4.0 LE and microUSB v2.0 data transfers of HSDPA 21 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps speeds. A phone's camera features may be the most sought after, and with this model the user gets 5 MP primary camera, of 2592 x 1944 pixels with extra features such as geo-tagging, HDR and panorama. Unfortunately, this phone does not have a secondary camera function.

The Motorola Moto E has an internal memory of 4 GB and a RAM of 1 GB which is quite impressive for a phone in this budget range, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 8210 1.20 GHz processor. Its 1980 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery provides sufficient talk and standby time, and phone supports both microSD and microSDHC memory cards of up to 32 GB."
